Product Description
Defender and Discovery Manual or Auto TD5 Variable Geometry Turbo Conversion is the world’s first bolt on Variable Geometry Turbo conversion designed specifically for the TD5 powered Land Rovers. This turbo is designed for upto 180-185 BHP and 430-450Nm with correct tuning to match (Cars may Vary slightly) depending on age, mileage covered, fuel quality etc etc. (Automatic cars may produce slightly less power due to the auto box soaking up power)
All our turbo chargers are designed and made by Turbo Technics, who specialise in automotive turbochargers and associated turbo equipment. Turbo Technics are a world-class company acting as consultants to many car manufactures who use their turbo re-manufacturing facility for many car brands including JLR, which gives us the edge with our specially made Hybrid turbos as we know that they are built correctly and come from the same factory which Land Rover use for their own re-manufactured turbos!
NOTE: TD5 fixed boost box or raised boost pressure limit in a remap is required for this turbo installation, as well as a remap to the main engine ecu to gain the best functionality from the hybrid turbo. In some hi flow cases a “BAS maf adjust box” is needed to keep the air flow meter in its working voltage tolerance.
We strongly advise you fit this turbo ONLY along side a performance inter cooler that has at least 17 rows of tube at 62x8mm to maintain a good pressure balance and to help with charge cooling and that the turbo is fitted by a professional garage or workshop.
We insist on all turbo charger installations you fit new engine oil and oil filter as well as a new oil feed pipe when making your installation. We also do not advise fitting with snorkels or restricted air intakes.
Shipping & Returns
UK Mainland Delivery
We aim to dispatch all UK Mainland orders on the same or next working day. Delivery typically takes 1–2 working days, depending on the time your order is placed.
For special order items, dispatch is typically within 3–5 working days. These items are clearly marked within the product description.
Delivery Charges & Minimum Order
Product prices are displayed according to the customer’s location. UK customers will generally see prices inclusive of VAT, while customers outside the UK will generally see prices without UK VAT.
We do not have a minimum order value; however, our minimum delivery charge includes packaging and handling costs and cannot be reduced.
Tracked Courier Options
UK Mainland delivery varies, but is typically £10-15.00 + VAT. Some items may qualify for free delivery where margin allows.
Economy Regions include Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland.

Courier Partners
We use DPD, DHL, TNT/FedEx, UPS, Royal Mail and Transglobal Express for UK, European and International deliveries.
International Orders
International orders are typically shipped via DHL, UPS of FedEx. For some destinations, we may require a manual quote before enabling checkout.
- Import duties, VAT, and customs charges are not included in your order total.
- Couriers may apply additional fees such as brokerage, disbursement, or handling charges.
- You may be required to provide additional information (tax number, ID, EORI, etc.) to complete customs clearance.
- Customs clearance times vary by country and may cause delays outside our control.
We cannot provide delivery prices inclusive of duties or taxes. The customer is responsible for all import-related charges.

Customs & Import Duties
Customs duties, VAT, and handling fees may be applied by authorities in your country. These charges are outside our control.
Some couriers may charge additional fees to handle customs clearance on your behalf.
We will not under-declare or alter invoice values for customs purposes. This is unlawful and may invalidate your shipment and any associated insurance.
Important Information

Once dispatched, the shipment is in the hands of the courier. All deliveries are tracked and may require a signature.

If a shipment is refused, not collected, or cannot be delivered due to unpaid customs charges or lack of response, return shipping, customs charges, and courier fees may be deducted from any refund as these costs are non-recoverable.
