Product Description
The lower drive belt tensioner maintains correct tension on the auxiliary drive belt in the Td4 2.4 diesel engine, ensuring consistent operation of the air conditioning compressor and other belt-driven accessories. On air-conditioned Defenders, the tensioner assembly must manage the additional load imposed by the A/C compressor, making this a separate, specific component from the standard non-A/C unit. A worn or seized tensioner causes belt slip, noise, premature belt wear, and potential failure of driven components including the alternator and power steering pump.

UK Mainland Delivery
We aim to dispatch all UK Mainland orders on the same or next working day. Delivery typically takes 1–2 working days, depending on the time your order is placed.
For special order items, dispatch is typically within 3–5 working days. These items are clearly marked within the product description.
Delivery Charges & Minimum Order
Product prices are displayed according to the customer’s location. UK customers will generally see prices inclusive of VAT, while customers outside the UK will generally see prices without UK VAT.
We do not have a minimum order value; however, our minimum delivery charge includes packaging and handling costs and cannot be reduced.
Tracked Courier Options
UK Mainland delivery varies, but is typically £10-15.00 + VAT. Some items may qualify for free delivery where margin allows.
Economy Regions include Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland.
