The thermostat assembly for the Land Rover Defender Td4 2.4 diesel is a wax-element coolant control valve that regulates engine operating temperature by modulating coolant flow between the engine block and radiator. On the 2.4 Td4, a failed thermostat commonly causes the engine to run below normal operating temperature, triggering increased fuel consumption, excessive emissions, and potential DPF loading issues; a stuck-closed thermostat will cause rapid overheating. Correct replacement restores the precise opening temperature required by the engine management system.

UK Mainland Delivery
We aim to dispatch all UK Mainland orders on the same or next working day. Delivery typically takes 1–2 working days, depending on the time your order is placed.

Delivery Charges & Minimum Order
Product prices are displayed according to the customer’s location. UK customers will generally see prices inclusive of VAT, while customers outside the UK will generally see prices without UK VAT.
We do not have a minimum order value; however, our minimum delivery charge includes packaging and handling costs and cannot be reduced.
Tracked Courier Options
UK Mainland delivery varies, but is typically £10-15.00 + VAT. Some items may qualify for free delivery where margin allows.
Economy Regions include Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland.
