Bolt - Cylinder Head - R4/D4/Rs2/R5/Rs3 for Discovery 4 (2010 – 2016) – LR026143
Product Description
LR026143 is an OEM cylinder head bolt designed for Land Rover's 3.0-litre diesel engines (R4, D4, Rs2, R5, Rs3 variants), securing the cylinder head to the engine block and maintaining the critical sealing pressure required across the head gasket. Cylinder head bolts are torque-to-yield fasteners on these engines, meaning they undergo controlled plastic deformation during installation and must not be reused once removed. Using a worn or previously torqued bolt risks insufficient clamping force, leading to head gasket failure, coolant loss, or cylinder compression issues.
Key Features
- Torque-to-yield design specific to the 3.0L diesel engine family used across Discovery 4 and Range Rover platforms
- Must be replaced as single-use fasteners - never reuse removed cylinder head bolts
- Genuine Land Rover part meeting OEM torque and stretch specifications
- Multiple bolts are required per cylinder head - confirm the exact quantity needed before ordering and replace the full set simultaneously
Vehicle Fitment
Fits Discovery 4 (2010–2016), Range Rover (2010–2012 and 2013 onwards), and Range Rover Sport (2010–2013 and 2014 onwards), all with applicable 3.0-litre diesel engine variants.
