Bearing - Wheel Hub for Series 2 & 2A Inner – RTC3416

Product Description

RTC3416 is the inner wheel hub bearing for Land Rover Series 2, 2A, and Series 3 front and rear axles, providing the primary load-bearing surface between the hub and stub axle. This tapered roller bearing supports both radial and axial loads generated during cornering and braking. Worn or pitted bearings typically present as a low rumbling noise from the wheel end that increases with vehicle speed, and if left unchecked can lead to excessive hub play and accelerated seal failure.

Key Features

  • Tapered roller bearing design to handle combined radial and thrust loads at the wheel hub
  • Fits the inner position of the hub assembly - distinct from the outer bearing and must be replaced as a matched set for correct preload
  • Supplied to OEM specification under part number RTC3416
  • When replacing, inspect the hub oil seal and stub axle surface for wear and replace if necessary to protect the new bearing

Vehicle Fitment

Fits Land Rover Series 2 and 2A (all years), and Series 3 models up to September 1980, at the inner wheel hub position on both axles.
