Product Description
The primary chain tensioner blade is a wear component within the timing chain system of Land Rover's AJ-V8 engine, acting as a guide surface against which the tensioner piston bears to maintain correct primary chain tension. On the 4.4 AJ Petrol and 4.2 Supercharged V8 engines, a worn or cracked tensioner blade can result in chain slap, rattling on cold start, or in severe cases, timing chain derailment and significant engine damage. Replacing a degraded blade restores correct chain control and prevents accelerated wear to the chain and sprockets.

UK Mainland Delivery
We aim to dispatch all UK Mainland orders on the same or next working day. Delivery typically takes 1–2 working days, depending on the time your order is placed.
For special order items, dispatch is typically within 3–5 working days. These items are clearly marked within the product description.
Delivery Charges & Minimum Order
Product prices are displayed according to the customer’s location. UK customers will generally see prices inclusive of VAT, while customers outside the UK will generally see prices without UK VAT.
We do not have a minimum order value; however, our minimum delivery charge includes packaging and handling costs and cannot be reduced.
Tracked Courier Options
UK Mainland delivery varies, but is typically £10-15.00 + VAT. Some items may qualify for free delivery where margin allows.
Economy Regions include Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland.
