Product Description
NTC9400 is the rear handbrake cable for the Discovery 1, connecting the handbrake lever mechanism to the rear drum brake assemblies to provide static vehicle retention on gradients. The cable operates under repeated tension and is subject to corrosion, fraying, and stretching over time, which manifests as a handbrake lever that travels excessively high before engaging or fails to hold the vehicle on a slope. Correct cable replacement restores the specified actuation geometry and ensures the rear brakes apply evenly.

UK Mainland Delivery
We aim to dispatch all UK Mainland orders on the same or next working day. Delivery typically takes 1–2 working days, depending on the time your order is placed.
For special order items, dispatch is typically within 3–5 working days. These items are clearly marked within the product description.
Delivery Charges & Minimum Order
Product prices are displayed according to the customer’s location. UK customers will generally see prices inclusive of VAT, while customers outside the UK will generally see prices without UK VAT.
We do not have a minimum order value; however, our minimum delivery charge includes packaging and handling costs and cannot be reduced.
Tracked Courier Options
UK Mainland delivery varies, but is typically £10-15.00 + VAT. Some items may qualify for free delivery where margin allows.
Economy Regions include Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland.
