Morel Elate Carbon 1.1" (28mm) Component Tweeter Pair

Product Description

The Morel Elate Carbon MT450 (MOR ELAT CAR MT450) is the 28mm (1.1") component tweeter at the heart of every standard Elate Carbon 2-way and 3-way component system — available here as a standalone matched pair for system builders, replacements, or custom active designs requiring a compact, high-performance Reference-class tweeter. Where the Elate Carbon Pro range uses the Alto cavity-back tweeter derived from the Supremo Piccolo, the MT450 takes a deliberately compact approach: a driver small enough to fit most factory tweeter locations while delivering the resolution and tonal accuracy expected of the Elate Carbon Reference tier.

The MT450's dome is constructed from Acuflex™-coated silk — Morel's proprietary hand-applied damping treatment that suppresses resonance peaks and controls break-up modes, producing a smooth, extended frequency response and a natural, fatigue-free high-frequency character. The open cavity design of the MT450's rear chamber, combined with a dual neodymium magnet motor, gives the driver exceptional detail retrieval and dynamic range in a housing small enough to disappear into factory or flush-mount tweeter positions. The dual neodymium magnet system provides high flux density and a powerful, controlled motor force in a compact package.

  • 28mm Acuflex™-coated silk dome — hand-applied damping treatment controls resonance and break-up modes for a smooth, extended, fatigue-free high-frequency response reaching to 25,000 Hz
  • Open cavity with dual neodymium magnet motor — high-flux compact motor system delivers exceptional detail, dynamic range and transient accuracy in a housing small enough for most factory tweeter positions
  • Compact form factor with versatile mounting — fits factory locations and custom installations where the larger Alto tweeter cannot be accommodated; surface, flush and angled mounting options included
  • Reference-tier performance in a discreet package — the defining tweeter of the standard Elate Carbon range; suitable for both passive crossover and active DSP-controlled systems

Supplied as a matched pair. For the higher-specification cavity-back Alto tweeter used in Elate Carbon Pro systems, see MOR ELAT CAR ALTO.
