The Morel 8" Lotus Grill (MOR GR 8 LOTUS) is Morel's decorative and protective Lotus-pattern grill for 8" (200mm) subwoofers — a single grill unit featuring Morel's signature Lotus hole pattern, a precision-engineered arrangement of holes in varying shapes and diameters specifically designed to minimise the acoustic "horn effect" that conventional uniform-hole grills produce. The Lotus grill is both a practical accessory that protects the subwoofer cone from damage and a premium aesthetic element that completes the installed appearance of a Morel subwoofer to the brand's highest visual standards.
The Lotus pattern's engineered variation in hole size and shape is a genuine acoustic innovation: when a grill contains multiple holes of the same diameter, the combined resonant frequency of those holes creates a measurable peak in the frequency response at that resonant point — the "horn effect." By varying the hole sizes and shapes across the grill's surface, the Lotus pattern distributes these individual resonant peaks across a wide range of frequencies where they become inaudible rather than clustering at a single problematic point. Morel's innovative metalworking processes enable the Lotus grill to be manufactured as an extremely thin, nearly transparent structure that has minimal mechanical impact on the subwoofer's output — it looks solid but acoustically barely exists. Shipping & Returns
UK Mainland Delivery
We aim to dispatch all UK Mainland orders on the same or next working day. Delivery typically takes 1–2 working days, depending on the time your order is placed.
For special order items, dispatch is typically within 3–5 working days. These items are clearly marked within the product description.
Delivery Charges & Minimum Order
Product prices are displayed according to the customer’s location. UK customers will generally see prices inclusive of VAT, while customers outside the UK will generally see prices without UK VAT.
We do not have a minimum order value; however, our minimum delivery charge includes packaging and handling costs and cannot be reduced.
Tracked Courier Options
UK Mainland delivery varies, but is typically £10-15.00 + VAT. Some items may qualify for free delivery where margin allows.
Economy Regions include Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland.
