The Morel Direct Fit BMW Premium 4" 2-Way Component Speaker Set (MOR IR BM 42) is the flagship Reference-tier DirectFit component system for select modern BMW models — a plug-and-play speaker upgrade that replaces factory front-door speakers with Hybrid-series Reference-class technology, using no vehicle modification whatsoever. Based on Morel's highly regarded Hybrid speaker series and engineered in the Integration Reference tier, the IR BM 42 represents the ultimate in plug-and-play BMW audio performance: simply remove the factory speakers, connect with the included OEM-grade wiring harnesses, and experience a transformation in sound quality that no BMW-branded or aftermarket universal-fit speaker can match.
The 4" (100mm) woofer draws directly from the Hybrid series — featuring Morel's hybrid EVC™ motor design with a 2.1" (54mm) Hexatech™ voice coil, DPC (Damped Polymer Composite) cone, and a low-Q suspension engineered for controlled, overhang-free dynamics. The oversized 2.1" voice coil improves power handling and linearity without compromising upper-midrange clarity, while the DPC cone reduces distortion and coloration compared to the OEM paper and polypropylene cones it replaces. A neodymium-powered motor design boosts sensitivity to 92 dB (2.83V/1m), making the IR BM 42 an ideal partner for both factory amplification and aftermarket DSP upgrades. The 1.1" Acuflex™ silk dome tweeter with dual neodymium magnet motor is a handcrafted Morel design delivering the ultimate BMW high-frequency upgrade. The DirectFit chassis accommodates a wide range of BMW models via a single set of supplied mounting brackets — covering the entire spectrum of applicable applications without requiring model-specific kits. Inline passive crossovers with OEM-grade plugs complete the true plug-and-play installation. Specifications: 4 Ohm, 100W RMS, 92 dB sensitivity, 50–25,000 Hz.

Shipping & Returns
UK Mainland Delivery
We aim to dispatch all UK Mainland orders on the same or next working day. Delivery typically takes 1–2 working days, depending on the time your order is placed.
For special order items, dispatch is typically within 3–5 working days. These items are clearly marked within the product description.
Delivery Charges & Minimum Order
Product prices are displayed according to the customer’s location. UK customers will generally see prices inclusive of VAT, while customers outside the UK will generally see prices without UK VAT.
We do not have a minimum order value; however, our minimum delivery charge includes packaging and handling costs and cannot be reduced.
Tracked Courier Options
UK Mainland delivery varies, but is typically £10-15.00 + VAT. Some items may qualify for free delivery where margin allows.
Economy Regions include Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland.
