Morel Crossover for Virtus Nano 3-Way Component Speakers
Product Description
The Morel MXR130 (MOR MXR130) is the dedicated 3-way passive crossover network for the Virtus Nano Carbon component speaker range — the precision filter network that divides the frequency spectrum between the MT120N tweeter, MM2 midrange and Virtus Nano EVC™ woofer in every passive Virtus Nano 63 system. Available separately for system builders and as a replacement unit, the MXR130 enables the three drivers of the Nano 63 system to operate as a seamlessly integrated, phase-coherent 3-way system despite the unique acoustic geometry that the world's shallowest woofer imposes.
The MXR130 provides two crossover points calibrated specifically for the Virtus Nano driver combination. The woofer low-pass crossover operates at 800 Hz (12 dB/octave), the MM2 midrange is bandpassed between 800 Hz and 5 kHz (6 dB/octave slopes), and the MT120N tweeter is high-passed at 5 kHz (6 dB/octave) — a set of transition frequencies chosen to work with the specific on-axis and off-axis behaviour of the Grand Dome Nano woofer and convex aluminium MM2 midrange, producing a smooth, flat summed response at the listening position. A tweeter level adjustment (0 dB or +3 dB) allows the installer to fine-tune the high-frequency balance for the specific vehicle acoustic environment. Built with high-quality passive components and screw-terminal connectivity for secure, low-resistance connections throughout.
- Dedicated 3-way crossover for Virtus Nano Carbon 63 systems — two precision crossover points at 800 Hz and 5 kHz, system-voiced for the MT120N tweeter, MM2 midrange and Nano EVC™ woofer
- Asymmetric filter slopes at 800 Hz and 5 kHz — crossover frequencies chosen for the specific acoustic characteristics of the Grand Dome Nano woofer and MM2 convex midrange
- MXR high-quality component construction — Morel's Crossover Resolution system with premium passive components for minimal insertion loss across all three filter sections
- Two-position tweeter level adjustment — 0 dB or +3 dB tweeter output control for tonal balance optimisation in different vehicle acoustic environments
Included as standard in all passive Virtus Nano Carbon 63 3-way component sets. For the 2-way crossover see MOR MXR200.4.
