The GAP IIDTool is more than just a Land Rover specific diagnostic gadget. For many Defender owners, it’s become an essential bit of kit. And now, with the latest G4 version, it’s faster, smarter and packed with even more capability!
In simple terms, it’s a compact device that plugs into your OBD port and pairs with your phone or tablet. From there, you get access to live diagnostics, fault code reading and clearing, service functions, and perhaps most interestingly, the ability to modify your vehicle’s configuration (CCF).
CCF stands for Car Configuration File. It controls many of the features and behaviours of your vehicle. The IIDTool lets you make changes that would otherwise be locked behind dealership-level tools.
